Well I haven't been on deviantART for a couple of months now due to issues in my personal life, but I logged on today after a quite long time to see that I got a DD!

I mean, wow. Thanks so much to neurotype-on-discord for the feature! And to every single person who commented and faved, also many thanks from the bottom of my heart. I worked very hard on that piece, especially since it was a short story (which I very rarely go back and edit), and to get a feature for it means a hell of a lot.

to my new watchers, welcome! I suppose this is the kick up the butt I need to start writing things again XD And I am going to do my best to respond to every comment I got within a reasonable timeframe.

Hi all! It's been a while since I've posted one of these, or anything to dA for that matter. Oops.

I was participating in both June and August Camp NaNoWriMo. I won both, but for obvious reasons the text will not be seeing the light of the 'net any time soon.
I'm hoping to start writing and posting more soon. I'm horribly behind with everything, especially group-based. Bluh.

But that's not what this is about! I am asking you for help, watchers/anyone who sees this!

I currently record the long-running D&D campaign I'm in using a simple A5 notebook I bought at STaples, but it's running out of pages. I was hoping to get something a bit more... fancy? To replace it when it's full. A proper, leather-bound maybe, type thing. My only requirement is that the paper is lined.

So I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get one of those. For stores, I'm in the UK. For the 'net, anywhere that doesn't charge excessive shipping to the UK.

So I was reading the blog of a coursemate I'd never spoken to until a friend introduced us. (It's called The Smiling Scientist and you can read it here if you wish. She talks about her struggles with mental health, and the mental health services in some parts of the UK.)

The blog itself isn't hugely relevant to the journal other than that it made me consider starting up a blog of my own. I used to write snippets about how my life was going in the General Discussion of a forum I frequent on Neoseeker, but I've been doing that a lot less lately. In fact, I don't think I've even posted on the site in about a fortnight.

I was wary about starting a blog, though. What would I call it? Where would I host it? Would people even read it?

Then it hit me: journals are basically blog posts anyway.

So I guess the sum of this train of thought is that I'll be updating my journal more frequently? It's probably a better way to reach readers than a fresh blog, since I already have a few watchers here, and it's not like I'm expecting a following of thousands (or even hundreds). But I enjoy writing, and maybe I should write about some other things.

If they end up getting really long, though, I may well move them off-site just to stop cluttering up people's inboxes XD

Does anyone else here blog? What are your thoughts on it, whether you do or you don't?

Wow, it's been a while since I last wrote a journal ._.

I've not been very active around here at all, actually. Mostly thanks to university XD I'm right in the middle of the final year of my Bachelor's degree, which translates to having exactly no free time.

To-do list:
* Edit my novel, Shadow in the Web.
* Catch up on the approximately fifty million prompts I've been unable to complete on
* Restart my oneshots at a more sedate pace.
* Be generally more active in and
* Do initial edits (for plot) and finish Writers' War (name subject to change).
* Plan for NaNoWriMo's August Camp. (I would do June, but I cannot commit as I may have exams then. We'll see.)

And that's only a preliminary list. X_X

Is anyone else this busy?

I say this because my writing talents far exceed my drawing talents, but I have no idea if anyone actually looks for this sort of thing
